My five star rating for this Subway is in comparison to OTHER Subways, and should not be construed to suggest that I think ANY Subway is a 5 star restaurant!
Of the 7 or so Subway sandwich shops here in Napa, this one located in the River Park Shopping Center is now my "go to" Napa Subway. It is clean, the employees are friendly and polite, and the sandwiches are consistantly well made. I wish them the best, and I will be coming here as long as they maintain their quality. I had been to this Subway a couple years ago and wasn't very impressed with it. I think there may have been a change of management since then, and I am now a steady customer here -

Not all Subways are created equally. This store is probably one of the best in Napa. The store is clean and the service is great. They are generous with their portions, which is nice because most Subways usually skimps on the meat.

I have only been there few times. Each time it was unpleasant. The bread werent made properly and even worse they were underbaked. I dont understand why they dont do it properly

Bread was very fresh
There is a posted sign that states that no coupons are accepted.
They lost me on that and it seems that they may have lost others too, as my husband and I were the only ones in the place. -

I used to go this Subway all the time for lunch because it was a short drive from home (and work) While they're open for breakfast, I've never seen them busy at all for breakfast. Everybody is going to the nearby diner or buying dozens of donuts at Happy's. Happy's has freshly made donuts- and while their menu is limited (they recently added savory breakfast sandwiches), they have consistently great food&service. Not so for this Subway.
I remember when their Italian herb&cheese bread was a BIG DEAL. No matter when I came, whether it was a lunch/dinner rush or not... they NEVER had it. They'd always run out... with excuses at the ready. Interestingly, at my job at the time, both my boss&one of my coworkers had the same experience... the mirage that was the Italian herb&cheese bread. The service was frequently rude- running out of ingredients was common even if one was the sole customer. They played up their breakfast offerings to compete with fast food places.... ironically, fast food places are the ones doing better. If you want to eat fresh, go local&somewhere else.
